Throughout the
course, it examines solar thermal power plants from the design point of
view, the steps to develop engineering, design software commonly used,
the size of a solar field, the lay out of the block power, all
concerning the HTF system (pressure, pumps, tanks calculation,
filtration system, thermal insulation ... etc.).
Finally we analyze the basic equipment like Generation Train, Water
Steam Cycle and Steam Turbine, with special attention to equipment in
the market, the selection criteria and aspects to consider in the
decision.
